How Monte Carlo simulations work
A Monte Carlo simulation generates thousands of random market paths based on historical return distributions. Instead of assuming a single average growth rate, it models the uncertainty inherent in markets. Infnits runs 2,000 independent simulations and distills them into confidence bands from P10 to P90. The P10 band shows the outcome that 90% of simulations exceeded — a conservative floor. The P90 band shows the optimistic ceiling. The median (P50) gives you the most likely trajectory. Together they help you understand both the upside potential and the downside risk of your current portfolio.
